The Global Pain Initiative

Thank you for visiting The Global Pain Initiative™.  We invite you to visit and join Our Community as one of the Faces of Pain™.  The Global Pain Initiative™ (a 501(c)(3) – Not-For-Profit organization) has a mission (and a passion) to transform the way pain is fundamentally understood (and misunderstood), assessed and treated.

Through our Global Pain Initiative™ and extensive research and development teams consisting of the world’s leading scientists and clinicians, we are “Changing The Face Of Pain™.”

Our message is simple:

(a) Pain is really made up of many different diseases (similar to Cancer);
(b) Pain in Cancer is the same as Pain in Non-Cancer;
(c) There is enough science showing that Pain has a Cure.

The Global Pain Initiative™ will achieve its Mission using the following three methods:

Education and Awareness:

It is our Mission to create and then publish peer-reviewed journal supplements on “The Current State of Pain and Treatment” from leading scientists and clinicians.  This is the basis for the “Data and Research, Develop the ‘Story of Pain’ Series,” bringing the story of pain to the public from the patient and their family’s perspectives.  We are building key relationships with scientists, clinicians, healthcare systems, corporations, governments and people living with chronic pain to (a) increase awareness, (b) move science to change its clinical practice and approach, and (c) find a cure.

Data and Research:

We are pioneering the first-ever registry on pain (built with advanced data collection tools in collaboration with the world’s leading information and technology experts) to understand pain from the patient’s point-of-view.

Stakeholder Engagement:

We are organizing and assisting a Movement (among people, corporations, healthcare delivery systems and governments) and then using that data and extensive research combined with science to (a) improve patients’ diagnoses, (b) define best practices through the development of standard operating procedures and (c) find cures! Through these projects and our Global Pain Initiative, we will fulfill the mission of the foundation and raise awareness thereby driving research and development to address pain as a disease and ultimately find a cure.

The hands in our logo represent supporting people living with pain.  The fire symbolizes passion, desire, illumination, transformation, and enlightenment, all of which are included within our core mission.

To help us move forward and find a Cure, please contribute, giving us a helping hand. Your contribution will be a catalyst for change in awareness (i.e., The Faces Of Pain), education (for both the public and healthcare providers) and in realizing a Cure.

We appreciate your support.

The Global Pain Initiative™ is a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit organization.  Your donations are tax-deductible.
